HEALTHFUL may use your location and geofencing in the background, but ONLY if you select the option to remind you at a specific place. This can be useful if you want to receive reminders only when you’re physically at work but don’t want any notifications if you’re not at the office, for example.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. HEALTHFUL doesn’t use GPS in the background unless you explicitly enable the location based reminders feature.
